In honor of the Year of Amoris Laetitia Family and the five-year anniversary of our Diocesan Synod on the Family, the Diocese is inviting the Knights of Columbus to join them on October 23 at St. Gregory the Great Parish in Scripps Ranch to celebrate the family as the strength of our Church, which Pope Francis calls a “Family of Families,” and to embrace their ongoing commitment to serving, supporting, and walking with our families in faith. Mass will be celebrated at 11am, with activities for families both before and after the Mass. The Diocese is also organizing a resource fair before the Mass starting at 10am, centered on the main plaza at St. Gregory the Great. The purpose of the resource fair will be to highlight diocese-wide ministries that have a special focus on strengthening and evangelizing the Domestic Church.
The Diocese knows that we Knights have done so much in the area of supporting families, and we’re invited to have some of our resources available, for example our “Family Fully Alive” booklets (St. Gregory the Great Council is invited to participate in the resource fair).
They are also inviting a few families to represent the Knights in the opening procession. The Diocese encourages members to bring their whole families to the Mass. Please help spread the word among your councils!
